The Greater Fairmount
Civic Sciences Expo

Advancing the intersection of curiosity and community infrastructure.

About the Expo

Welcome to the Greater Fairmount Civic Sciences Expo, an esteemed gathering of innovators, citizens, and individuals who accidentally discovered the scientific method while holding a drink.

Each year, the Expo celebrates the boundless potential of applied curiosity — from experimental domestic research to transformative local insights.

Our mission is simple: to elevate everyday inquiry into civic progress. Our theme, "Empirical Progress for a One-Way Future", reminds us that all great discoveries begin with a question — and occasionally, a traffic cone.

Together, we'll explore questions that define the modern era:

  • Can emotional stability be measured with a clipboard?
  • Does light temperature affect civic engagement?
  • And how much data is enough to declare victory at a block party?

Mission Statement

Scientific Excellence
Data-Driven Innovation
Community Partnership

The Greater Fairmount Civic Sciences Expo is dedicated to fostering community-based innovation through structured enthusiasm, methodological improvisation, and robust snack consumption.

We believe that every great idea — no matter how small, strange, or home-tested — deserves a PowerPoint and a podium.
